Taiwan plans to build extensive SuperCompute AI in cooperation between NVIDIA, Foxconn and National Science and Technology Coucicil. The aim is to provide local scientists, startups and industry easier access to a high -performance calculation for AI development.
The system will be built on the latest NVIDIA Blackwell platform and is managed by Foxconn’s subsidiary Big Innovation Company. The AI supercomputer is expected to accommodate 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs and support AI training and research in many different industries.
The Taiwanese government considers this a step towards strengthening the local ecosystem AI. Through the National Council for Science and Technology, the country will use this system to offer cloud services for technology companies and research institutions. We hope that easier access to calculation will speed up the development of AI and support wider acceptance of AI tools.
TSMC, the largest semiconductor company in Tai -wan, also plans to use this system to support its research. The company expects that the new infrastructure will help operate the workload much faster than some of the devices it currently uses.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said the company was working closely with Foxconn and Tai -Wan to help build the infrastructure needed for AI and robotics. FoxConn Fimesman Young Liu said that the partnership will place the foundations for industries, researchers and public sector to move faster using tools and services based on A.
TSMC Chairman Dr. CC Wei said that access to a powerful calculation will help scientists manage new developments in Chip technology. The company’s aim is to use AI tools to support the design and production of Next-Gene semiconductors.
Minister Wu Cheng-Wen from the National Council for Science and Technology said the initiative is part of the larger plan to turn South Taiwan into a Center for Research and Industry AI. The aim is to promote intelligent cities and promote everyday use of AI in government and business.
Foxconn will play a key role in the construction and operation of the system. As a partner of NVIDIA Cloud, Big Innovation Company will use the Blackwell Ultra platform and advanced network tools such as NVLink, Quantum Infiniband and Spectrum-X Ethernet to support heavy AI workload.
The Big Innovation Company will also join the NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton Marketplace, which combines a GPU -based calculation. It will make it easier for local companies, startups and research laborators easier to access the system and start the AI model.
The supercomputer will also support programs such as Nvidia Inception and Deep Learning Institute, which aim to help society and developers help learn and create AI tools.
Foxconn intends to use the system in its main areas; Smart cities, electric vehicles and production. The company is trying to apply AI to improve the transport system, allows safer driving technology and streamlines factory operations through automation and simulation.
